Re: "Beautiful" Prose

Ah well, in that case you should avoid my posts for a bit as most of them are like that. I've been a gator for four or five years now, and still I haven't emptied the bottom of the swamp when it comes to bad gator jokes. I know! I don't know why, but that one just pushed me over the edge. It may be...

Re: "Beautiful" Prose

I love Robin McKinley. But, also, her writing style makes me crazy in the head. Not in a good way. That is all. (p.s. E.Caiman: you totally made me laugh with your gator reference... Which would be good, except I'm sick and it started me coughing, which led to a serious lack of oxygen to the brain. ...

Re: "Beautiful" Prose

These are a bit "out there" perhaps, but two of my favorite authors with serious literary skillz are Ray Bradbury and Markus Zusak ("The Book Thief").

We need the original dancing banana. I'll try to find it.

"Ray of Light" will appear very late this year, or probably early next.

Yah, I can get used to being a "regular" in the genre's most venerable, most widely circulated print magazine.

Glad to help. It's nice to know there is some benefit to those years of wasted Internet surfing.

Martin, this is the link I have bookmarked for this page:

It might solve some of your problems to bookmark that instead of the main forum page.

I'm crossing and double-crossing my fingers that some regional favoritism will play in my favor.

First step: write something brilliant.
Second step: wait for the Utah Magic to filter down from the heavens and into the judges' decision-making process.

Better wear a coat. We're in the middle of an April snowstorm. Nice to meet you!

Re: NEW USERS! INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!

Hello all! My name is Juliana and I hail from Utah, where I am surrounded by amazing spec fiction writers like Brandon Sanderson, Brandon Mull, Shannon Hale, Dave Wolverton, James Dashner and our most recent local WotF winner, Brad Torgerson. (Hi Brad!) I just finished one of Dave Wolverton's two da...
