I'm working on revising a story I'd started on, the front 450 of which I bounced off Dustin a while back. Got swept up in other things, but kept thinking about his feedback, and the resulting revision (killing a transition) restaged the story and made the whole premise a lot more interesting... So ...

Yes, sometimes Joni can't reach someone or a phone # has changed... In my previous quarter, M.T. Chambers didn't know he was a finalist until after the list came out. He was backpacking in Asia!

However, I do strongly believe that the 8 finalists are picked. When we see one, Joni has them all.

Opened my story this morning to check a certain line and found a typo. I know one typo isn't a deal breaker, but damn, it was right there waiting for me. Oh well, less twitching is good, right?

I take rejections pretty hard, (read: personally) which I know six ways from Sunday that I'm not supposed to do, but I do anyway.
But reading this helps.

If I start the thread, I post the dates in big letters/numbers.
Check the first post in the quarterly threads.

It is confusing at first, but you'll get used to it.
