Re: Not About Read an Ebook Week Anymore

Smashwords has sent out an email about a petition that is online for this issue already.

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q1 - 29

(Trust me, I'm antsy as can be. Being a non-published finalist just makes you think that every single quarter is a victory waiting to explode.) Me too! However, I will say that if/when I get a rejection, I'd much prefer it not be Q1 because this is my first entry after my finalist. An R would hurt ...

Re: Not About Read an Ebook Week Anymore

Strycher, I am glad that you made this separate point. I think that it is an important discussion that needs to take place. That is the main part of why I changed the title of this thread, the other very small part is my sense of humor. The fact is that I personally don't view that by processing a p...

Re: Quarter 1, vol. 29

Well I bet you are all on the edge of your seats with the results trickling down now. Unfortunately, I have to be the second to announce that I received a rejection today. I was hoping that in this moment of failure that some of the members would be willing to give me a critique of my story, The Las...

Though this is not why I originally posted this, thanks for the responses. It is always good to talk about this sort of thing.

Re: National Read an Ebook Week

The point isn't about what is in the content of the books but the fact that they are trying to sensor it out. Another thing I was thinking is what if I was writing a documentary and in an interview a brave individual shared details of their rape and gave permission to publish the info to raise aware...

I personally think that PayPal is overstepping their boundaries with this demand.

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q1 - 29

I love the double bind this competition puts me in. I want to know my results but getting them now would mean I didn't make the finals. I hope I do well even though this is my first quarter.

Nevermind, its at the bottom of the page. Would be better if it was at the top. Is there any way to have the site remember our preferences?

Is there an option somewhere on this forum to arrange posts by newest first for individual users?

Not About Read an Ebook Week Anymore

I was recently informed by my ebook publisher that this week is officially Read an Ebook week. My publisher Smashwords is having a week long sale on books that authors choose to enroll. Authors decide on the discount at different levels, 75%, 50%, 25%, or free. I already have a few free ebooks but h...

Re: Tout your Kindle and E-Publishing!

From what I gather this is a place where we can advertise our published works. If I am wrong then sorry for posting here. I have several stories and works available, 3 free and one paid. They can be found on all the major ebook stores such as Kindle, iBooks, Nook, Sony, Kobo, and Diesel. Although an...

Re: Q1 Volume 29

Where are these results? Can someone post a link please? This is my first quarter entering so I am unfamiliar with the process. Do results usually come through Duotrope?

Re: NEW USERS! INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!

Hello my name is Roger Laird. I just submitted my first story to WOTF this quarter. My uncle has submitting stories to WOTF for a long time and has even reached the Silver Honorable Mentions level multiple times. I just self published my first novel Legacy: A Father's Tale. It is available in all th...
