Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

I submitted to Q3 back on the 28th of May. I like the story, my only problem is that I like it less than my Q2 submission and that one ended with a SHM. So I have my doubts that this story is going to win this for me. But then again.... who knows? These days I always doubt my stories. This one has ...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q4 - Volume 34

No work on it yet. Even during my two week writing vacation I did nothing on WotF. I did finish a novel-now to find an copy editor who doesn't charge too much. But then again I did have a beta reader look it over. And worked on the revision of another novel, did 7 crits for critters, a few flash and...

Re: Writing Room/Office/Space

we have the desk computer in a spare bedroom with a nice computer desk and comfortable chair. I do most of my writing there, to here. But at times I also use the kitchen table and my laptop. This is more comfortable though. My wife needs the computer too at times for her crafts business, so we have ...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q4 - Volume 34

Got to start thinking on this one. I originally said I might redo an older story. But I thought of a new story but now not sure which idea I meant. There is one story I started a few months ago and just started to work on again, but I don't know how long-short story, novella, novelette or book. At l...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

I just won first place with a story that had more than one significant typo. If your story is good and the typos/grammar errors aren't too distracting, I wouldn't worry about it. wotf007 Really!? That gives me hope haha. I finished reading mine and found a "to" instead of "too" ...

People talk of being confident or not. I used to be but now, no matter how I feel about my story, I think I just have some hope I did enough things right.

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

Mine is in. A little different from my usual-no masses of tiny sparkly purple flying unicorns jumping out to scare people, got tired describing them in every way possible. The crits helped with this one, but it is after all my writing. Someone on Q2 forum talked about being dark before dawn. A coupl...

Re: How to make an excellent thesis papers from custom essay writing service for all students?

It's our fault really. I mean, nowadays kids can just walk in the house, drop their bags, and say: "Alexa: write my history paper on the socioeconomic differences between pre-Civil War rural American and post-Civil War African Americans in the South." Boom. Easy A. At least in collage stu...

I used to run my stories through Critters but that never worked for me, even after three times so I quit sending in stories but I still like to crit stories so I do.

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

Sigh. More work. Two people critted it and there were some contradictions. Without going into details one found a few things wrong and the other found many things wrong with the writing-to the point a rewrite might be best to fix it. One wanted a short action scene completely done away with and the ...

Yesterday I cut 500 words from my story. I'm a putter-inner, not a taker-outer. Feels strange, like, where did the words go? I try to be a cutter, but every time I try to edit this story it gets longer. I'm up to about 5k now, although I need to rewrite my entire first scene so that may change dras...

Another idea to add to the dress and song and magic is that it seems to be about Elsa. Anna might be the main character but the story isn't about her. Elsa is the one who needs help and saving.
