Re: Flame Tree seeking short stories
I love the covers to the Flame Tree anthologies and would love to get a story in more for them... but they always seem to have such short submission times. By the time I see it, it's basically over!

Re: Flame Tree seeking short stories
I'm just glad they sent the rejections. I saw all the acceptances for the one I'd subbed to first, and often when acceptances pop up first, rejections aren't ever sent.

My Q1 story would be perfect for Supernatural. Pity it's the long quarter.
Tried to think of something else and... blank.

Re: Forum Members' Published Stories of 2016
I had one original pub this year. And one reprint.
But, hey, that's better than none, right?
Original:
'Watercress Soup' in Andromeda Spaceways, December 2016
Reprint:
'Reflections' in Year's Best YA Spec Fic 2015, August 2016

I'm very sorry to hear that. I like the themed places.
Especially since I'd just submitted to a later one :P
On that note, what does that go on to the Grinder as? Returned? Never Responded?

My first drabble is up today at Specklit: http://specklit.com/blog/2015/07/28/tit-for-tat/ A sale is a sale, right, even if it's only 100 words? :) I'm not sure this next one counts as success in the sense of the thread, but it made me feel successful! A review of the Insert Title Here anthology lis...

Re: Almost Success - The "Mixed Feelings" Thread
I'm pretty sure it's a higher tier form. I've had the same, but with sweet instead of cute (and sweet is indeed applicable to the story in question). So it's definitely better than a basic form, which obviously doesn't have a send more request!

Well, I managed finalist again for the String of Ten contest run by Flash Fiction Chronicles. (Same as last year.) Maybe third time's a charm and I'll break through to the top three next year? Inevitably. Unless they require three try / fail cycles, that is. wotf016 Well done! wotf010 *collapses in...

I got a form at 223 days when all the other reported responses around then were personal. Definitely feel your pain. I didn't have a previous (awesome) personal to tide me over though ;p
