Re: Jibber Jabber - Q1 - Volume 35

Finally sat down and submitted my story. Normally I'm a last minute submitter, but I'm going to be somewhere in the middle of the Nullarbor when the end of the month rolls around (actually, I think we'll have reached Albany or something then, but the point stands). Been ready for ages (it's a heavil...

Re: Four in Thirty-Five (4 in 35!)

34 was the first time since I started editing I wasn't in for all four quarters. It doesn't seem to have helped me much on the improvement front :p

But I shall try to get my consistency back with 35!

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q4 - Volume 34

Officially NOT in.

But I'm getting back into writing/editing mode so hopefully I will have something awesome for next quarter. And I'll make sure I start it in October in case I get sick for the next two months again >>

Re: Flame Tree seeking short stories

I love the covers to the Flame Tree anthologies and would love to get a story in more for them... but they always seem to have such short submission times. By the time I see it, it's basically over!

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q4 - Volume 34

Due to illness (and laziness, but I'm absolutely blaming the illness) I am unlikely to get something in this quarter. It will be the first quarter I've missed since I started entering. A miracle might happen, I guess, but if it doesn't, maybe I can take the time to actually learn how to write a dece...

Re: Flame Tree seeking short stories

I'm just glad they sent the rejections. I saw all the acceptances for the one I'd subbed to first, and often when acceptances pop up first, rejections aren't ever sent.

My Q1 story would be perfect for Supernatural. Pity it's the long quarter.

Tried to think of something else and... blank.

I had one original pub this year. And one reprint.

But, hey, that's better than none, right?

Original:
'Watercress Soup' in Andromeda Spaceways, December 2016

Reprint:
'Reflections' in Year's Best YA Spec Fic 2015, August 2016

My first drabble is up today at Specklit: http://specklit.com/blog/2015/07/28/tit-for-tat/ A sale is a sale, right, even if it's only 100 words? :) I'm not sure this next one counts as success in the sense of the thread, but it made me feel successful! Re: Almost Success - The "Mixed Feelings" Thread

I'm pretty sure it's a higher tier form. I've had the same, but with sweet instead of cute (and sweet is indeed applicable to the story in question). So it's definitely better than a basic form, which obviously doesn't have a send more request!
