Re: What's Your Short Story Writing Process?

I have an eraser board on the wall in my office. When I get an idea for a story I write it out.
Whether it's a title or one or two sentences it stays up there until I use the prompt.

Some ideas stay up for a long time but nothing gets erased until they are incorporated into a new story.

Re: Transferring facing a dangerous situation into your writing

In 1995 hurricane Erin hit the Florida panhandle with 100 mph winds. When the storm arrived I laced up my favorite shoes and ran into the storm. I was instantly soaked to the skin by the force of the wind being blown sideways leaving little red dots where each drop striking me made it look like I ha...

Transferring facing a dangerous situation into your writing

As I sit here tonight hurricane Michael has a bullseye targeted on Pensacola. The Weather Channel tells me it will turn away. Do I stay or do I run? This is at a minimum my sixth active hurricane. When I was younger I would jog through the high winds enjoying every minute of the experience. In the n...

4 in 36

You said it so well I thought the same words would be appropriate for Q36. I hope you don't mind. These are words from Dustin with date adjustments. This is the official thread for the 4 in 36! club. Here is where we dedicate ourselves to getting four entries into volume 36. The rules are thus: We s...

Re: Discussion: Q3 Volume 35

I would love to win this contest. I'm working hard on finishing a novel and still finding time to write short stories.
I have only one HM so anything above an R would make me happy.

Along the way I've broken my dragon addiction and qwerty type my stories now.

Life is good. wotf007
