Thanks for sharing Wulf. Very inspiring. It's rather cool you 'broke the rule' and the passion for your story swayed the judges.

Impressive, most impressive.

Re: How do you write eloquently?

On the read more front - definitely read books by writers praised as such. Also, read poetry. See how poets invoke strong images and emotions through careful word choice. Eloquent writers, in my experience, write very tight, clean sentences in a way that makes the reader complete in their mind, imag...

Re: Dialogue Tips

For 60+ word dialogues, throwing in a little stage direction to break up a big block of text is a useful technique. Ideally a person's gestures or movement will underscore and/or stress what they are saying. Or can add layers to the moment by opposing what they are saying. It may be possible to even...

I see Robert J. Sawyer was there. Cool! Met him many times and even been to his home once. Also, beta read his latest book. He's a great speaker. Very articulate and very entertaining.

Re: Sex and Cursing in your Story

Firefly, Farscape, and the recent Battlestar Galactica all had wonderful swear words. Me and couple of my podcast mates did an entire series podcast review of each episode of Farscape a couple of years ago. You can check it over at Facebook - Scaper Chronicles - http://tinyurl.com/yyaj4oh6. The epis...

Check out the Story Grid for pinpointing story problems - https://storygrid.com/resources/

Lots of useful tools. I'm a regular listener of the podcast and The Story Grid book is one of my go to reference tools.

This quarter will be a challenge for me. Going for my second knee replacement on January 23rd. So I really need to get a draft done before then as I know from the previous experience - writing will be out of the question for the following 4 weeks.

Have an idea. Fleshing it out now.

Re: Moon's SUPER SECRET Bonus Challenge! Vol. 36

There is a secret here. Some call it their muse, but here's what it is: Your subconscious is trying to talk to you. And when it's excited about something, we need to listen. We need to put our butt in the chair, fingers on the keyboard, and capture every word of drama our subconscious is sending up...
