Re: Moon's SUPER SECRET Bonus Challenge! Vol. 36

Working my way through WOTF Volume 35 - seems to have a greater quantity of harder-edged stories in it than previous volumes. Interesting - start of a trend or just the best stories in this quarter shared that characteristic? Probably the latter. Your story was great Wulf - and yes the first person ...

Thanks for sharing Wulf. Very inspiring. It's rather cool you 'broke the rule' and the passion for your story swayed the judges.

Re: How do you write eloquently?

On the read more front - definitely read books by writers praised as such. Also, read poetry. See how poets invoke strong images and emotions through careful word choice. Eloquent writers, in my experience, write very tight, clean sentences in a way that makes the reader complete in their mind, imag...

Re: Dialogue Tips

For 60+ word dialogues, throwing in a little stage direction to break up a big block of text is a useful technique. Ideally a person's gestures or movement will underscore and/or stress what they are saying. Or can add layers to the moment by opposing what they are saying. It may be possible to even...

Firefly, Farscape, and the recent Battlestar Galactica all had wonderful swear words. Me and couple of my podcast mates did an entire series podcast review of each episode of Farscape a couple of years ago.
