Thanks to crits from Dustin Adams & RSchibler, I'm In!
Sorry, I've been missing in action. I'm trying to finish a novel manuscript and had to cut side activities like perusing the forums, but I've missed all of you. Good Luck everyone!

Re: Discussion: Q2 Volume 37
Depends on how you define drafts? I'm pretty sure I fell away from standard drafting at some point, although it was a gradual thing. I save a new document every time I make some manner of major revision to a story, so my current WIPs are marked 0.9 and 0.6 respectively. Only probably three or four ...

Re: Discussion: Q3 Volume 37
A friend sent me a writing prompt from a group she's in. It immediately made me think of a short story, nearly completely formed. I wrote the first draft in one sitting. After reading it, and rereading it, I decided that I loved it. Congrats! It's wonderful when a story comes to you fully formed. G...

YEAH!!! So many placed in Q2!!! A special CONGRATS to Becky!!! wotf009 R for me - But that was no surprise. It was not a WotF story, but I had it, liked it, and didn't want to go without submitting while I edited the novel. Last Quarter, I didn't even make that. Hopefully, edits will be done in the ...

Congrats on all the submissions. You all rock!
I don't know if I will get one in this time. I have been deep into novel edits which are going well but are slow.

I submit because I'm a writer working to be a published author. Pure and simple. This is it in a nutshell. I submit, because it is an essential part of becoming a professional author. Also this... There is a special kind of rush that you get when you take that leap of faith and submit. Its a bit te...

So... I can't believe I'm typing this, but I'm in for Q3. Yes, already. I agree Dustin. I have trained myself to writing in the proper format for submissions so I have one less level of complication when getting a manuscript ready for submission or query.
