Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

It's weird how a lot of my plotting problems can be fixed by talking to my husband. He's good at asking leading questions that still leave me open to explore what I want to do. I've let my story for this quarter sit for awhile because I didn't know what to do with it, but I finally talked about it w...

I never actually heard back on my story that got rejected. wotf001 I figured they probably wouldn't accept more than one, though.

I'm so excited I finally get to post in here. My Heroic Fantasy submission to Flame Tree Publishing got picked up for publication! I found out about three weeks ago, but they asked me to keep quiet until they made official announcements. http://blog.flametreepublishing.com/fantasy-gothic/gothic-fant...

Re: If I get a fourth professional sale while I'm waiting for the results, do I get disqualified?

Well, I googled around a bit and I think I'll have to ask a mod or admin to delete this thread and account, as you can't retroactively change it and it's the name of my protagonist (which I'm really not keen on changing). Talk about making an entrance! Now that you edited your post, you should be f...

Re: If I get a fourth professional sale while I'm waiting for the results, do I get disqualified?

I can't tell you whether that idea is taboo or not because I don't know. HOWEVER, I recommend editing your post to remove the information about your story because contest entries are done anonymously and posting any identifying details about it on this forum could potentially disqualify it. Also, co...

All judging for this contest is anonymous, so it's important not to post information about your story. It could disqualify you. I recommend editing your post to remove the section I redacted.

Hmm. At 127 days now and no response. I see there are already Finalists who have been announced here, but I've got nothing. This is one of those (heavily) revised stories, so I'm not sure if something good is brewing, or Dave saw the story again and just didn't bother to respond. How did you submit...

Yeah, we usually so informal reporting as we find out individual results, but I don't think the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place entries have been decided on for the quarter yet. We have a few finalists, but not final results. :)

First pass is the process of weeding out R's, second pass is probably weeding out HMs and/or SHMs, third pass is quite likely deciding finalists/semi-finalists.
