Re: Jibber Jabber - Q1 - Volume 35

Keep in mind that even if/when Dave is done, he's not the one who sends out the responses, Joni is, and she's in the middle of workshop week/gala prep, so the first quarter is almost always a long wait. Hadn't thought about this, but it's definitely true. Just because Dave has made a list of reject...

Re: Almost Success - The "Mixed Feelings" Thread

Just got an interesting personal from Podcastle: For the most part I like this story. My main problem is its slight tendency to over-explain things, which spoils the pacing for me. In particular, I think you could stand to trust the reader to infer a little more of Cers internal state, rather than ...

If you have a partial, I'd be down with taking a look if you'd like. Sometimes I find feedback helps kick me in the butt. That would involve me having something written. wotf004 I have a few things I could poke at, but am presently undecided. I've still got a month and a half to go; I can assure yo...

Re: Five Minute Rant

This thread's been quiet for awhile, so I might as well contribute! Sent a story that I personally would categorize as a Weird West story to a semi-pro market (it's basically worked its way out of all the pro markets). They said it was more Fantasy than Weird West, so they weren't interested. And, I...

I just remembered a story in progress that I might, in fact, be able to get ready in time for Q2. I've got a lot of work to do on it yet, which is why I didn't push for it in Q1, but three months ought to be enough time to iron out the kinks. wotf008
