Re: Jibber Jabber - Q4 - Volume 34

I also got a rejection. The rejection broke a streak of six HM's and one SHM... Not a good way to start the week wotf002

Re: Form vs Personal Rejection

Hello there, That's the higher tier form rejection for that particular magazine. I never got past that level of rejection. More information on the rejection templates used by that magazine can be found here: http://www.ccfinlay.com/blog/nectar-for-rejectomancers.html I think that information still r...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

To Kristy, Peony and KD Julicher... Sorry to hear that you didn't win this time. But, as somebody else as already said, you're definitely examples for the rest of us. If you made it finalist once you can make it again. And, in Julicher's case, you can definitely make finalist 5 time and finally get ...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q4 - Volume 34

I submitted my story back on September 8th after Dustin Adam's helpful critique. I kind of like the story. And I wrote it because I definitely think it's a cool subject. But... I think it might be too much of a derivative theme to win WoTF for me. Still... here's hoping lol PS - Sorry for still not ...

Congrats to Peony, KD and Kristy. 3 forum finalists out of 8 is pretty awesome. Write on. Never give up. wotf024

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

I submitted to Q3 back on the 28th of May. I like the story, my only problem is that I like it less than my Q2 submission and that one ended with a SHM. So I have my doubts that this story is going to win this for me. But then again.... who knows?

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q2 - Volume 34

Thanks for the support people. I was mostly upset because Imy Q2 story was the first story I thought had a chance at getting professionally published. So I sent it over to F&SF so that CC Finley can promptly shatter my illusions lol Congratulations to all the other participants. In spite of ever...

To be honest though, I'm kind of starting to worry that I might not be able to get past the HM stage.

Re: NEW USERS! INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!

I wouldn't recommend submitting the same story quarter after quarter, because Dave may start to recognize it and get bored with it. A better approach might be to wait a year or so before submitting a repeat, giving yourself plenty of time to think the story over and edit in the meantime I completel...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q1 - Volume 34

Brace yourselfs... Thursday is coming! I'm not too anxious about hearing the results from Q1 because like some of you, although I very much enjoy the idea of my Q1 submission, I don't think the execution is quite up to par. So I don't think it has much of a chance of rising above HM. My Q2 submissio...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q1 - Volume 34

Hey Imagination Vortex,

Could you please also add me to the list? I subbed for Q1 on December 10th and I still haven't received any news.

Thanks!

Re: NEW USERS! INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!

Hello there, Because of the registration bug with the old forum I feel like I've been lurking around here forever. And now, finally, I get to register, post, and join the madness of Thursdays' twitch-a-thons. But first, here's a brief intro: My name's Rui. I come from Portugal and I like to write mo...
