Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

R for me as well. A little expected, given the word count, but I did have a faint hope of at east an HM.

Ah well... onward! wotf024

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

Not sure what the variance from year to year, but I just looked back to see when I got my response for Q3 from last year. I got the email on 9/16, so hopefully you brought some crackers into the box fort ;) Yep. 9/16 is when I got my call last year. No way am I prepared to start twitching this earl...

Re: Writing Room/Office/Space

Do you have a closet that you could commandeer a section of large enough for a desk or at least a table where you could leave your papers and things without having to tidy every day? I know, no one wants to write in a closet, but just your desk has to be in there. wotf011

I can't decide if I'm twitching more from waiting for placement results or for my twins to come.

Re: How Short Is Too Short?

Daniel Davis' v31 story was short, only 2-3k, and RM Graves' Freebot in v32 was 2.5k, for more recent examples. I don't think you could get away with shorter than that, because Dave is a plot structure nerd, and flash is too short to really work with that. That doesn't bode well for me this quarter.

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q4 - Volume 34

I have a couple stories started, but in all cases the plot has escaped me. wotf017 Not sure what I'll do with them. Maybe throw them at some readers for brainstorming. I hate when characters insist I write about them and 500 words later look at me like I'm supposed to know what the heck is going on....

I'm currently enjoying Rob Hayes's Where Loyalties Lie. Awesome tale if you like pirates and a bit of magic and aren't squeamish.

Aaaaaannnnnndddddd... I'm in. With a just-under-1k-flash. The only time I can keep a story under 6k seems to be when I keep it under 1k. wotf017 Go figure.

We share a common goal. I have a couple ideas I'm playing with but, as of yet, it's just playing. Life has momentarily intervened.

Ah. There you go. My bad. I was checking in on break on my work computer. That seems to have been the issue. It's always the little things right in front of our noses...

Thanks!

Re: New account verification fixed

Thanks, Brad! Much appreciated.

I hate to throw a shadow on the celebration, and don't know if this is normal or not, but it seems every time I leave one of the boards to look at another, I get logged out and need to log back in. It's a minor annoyance, all things considered.

Hi all! Finally allowed access to the inner sanctum and... yeah... we might want to get in a window washer to clean all those nose prints off. wotf001 In any case, I was a finalist in Q3 last year. My one and only entry to date. Hoping for more, but time is not my friend these days and I can only fi...
