wotf055 Not surprising, with this story. Time to finish the next! disgruntledpeony, mega congratulations! I know you've been working towards this for a while, and your writing's been getting so good recently that you definitely deserve this. Congrats also to KD Julicher and KristyEmber! I hope you a...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

Hi everyone! I'm a first-time entrant who discovered this forum about a week ago. Thank you all for the community (even though I've been silent!) I'm unsure of whether I should thank you all for teaching me about twitching and Thursdays, though. Eek! Hi Rachel! I guess you're still waiting too, huh...

I'd be very happy to have a look at your query letter. I don't know if I have something specific to exchange right now, but I might take you up on the offer when my Q4 entry is ready, if that's all right.

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q4 - Volume 34

I've got a great story idea for this quarter. A mix of two eclectic interests, that may well be nobody's cup of tea. Dave might not like it. But I hope I will like it. After struggling to maintain momentum in the last two quarters, I think it's time I started writing for myself again. I figure there...

Just keeps getting bigger and bigger: David Farland said Ugh. So I'm wrapping up judging on the largest quarter of Writers of the Future ever, then go to check out quarter three, only to find that there are 15 percent more entries than ever! Stop entering, people. I don't need the extra competition...

Maybe I'll put my stats in, with my grand total of two results... But I feel the pressure to find some kind of inspirational ...

I signed the contract and the editor said it was safe to share, so here we go: Mad Scientist Journal put out a call for classified ads and are planning to publish my submission in March 2018. It's a 180ish word fictional classified ad, so I'm not sure if that falls into flash or an even smaller cat...

So, being rather new to this (read: completely new to this), when is it appropriate to post about sales? When ink is dried on a contract? When a publication date is set? Something else entirely? I particularly liked this part: No one wants to spend their own skills to writing their informative thesis writing paper and they will probably have no time for editing and proofreading. It totally undercuts my years of academic research. Whoops. Guess I should have known better--no sensible person ...
