wotf055 Not surprising, with this story. Time to finish the next! disgruntledpeony, mega congratulations! I know you've been working towards this for a while, and your writing's been getting so good recently that you definitely deserve this. Congrats also to KD Julicher and KristyEmber! I hope you a...

Hi everyone! I'm a first-time entrant who discovered this forum about a week ago. Thank you all for the community (even though I've been silent!) I'm unsure of whether I should thank you all for teaching me about twitching and Thursdays, though. Eek! Hi Rachel! I guess you're still waiting too, huh...

How's it going? I did actually write a story today (flash of about 1,200 words), but I did it kind of without intending to. So I might try to write a longer story on another day this week.

I'd be very happy to have a look at your query letter. I don't know if I have something specific to exchange right now, but I might take you up on the offer when my Q4 entry is ready, if that's all right.

Re: Story in a Day Challenge

I'd like to join in! I've never tried this before, but it sounds interesting. I'd also be interested in working with a prompt. I used to write a lot of flash using prompts, and found the limitation of having to work with a certain theme/idea inspiring.

Re: Writing Room/Office/Space

We've essentially only got two small rooms (bedroom and living room), and while I do have a desk of my own in the bedroom, I end up not using it much. I've been too traumatized by years of having to write and study in my bedroom as a student to feel comfortable going back to that. Instead, I usually...

That, and I'm not even sure my story made it into Q2. I submitted June 14th, and didn't receive the usual confirmation from Joni. Fortunately, I emailed her about it on the 25th, and being the amazing person that she is, she replied same day, confirming that my story was received. Does that mean my...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q4 - Volume 34

I've got a great story idea for this quarter. A mix of two eclectic interests, that may well be nobody's cup of tea. Dave might not like it. But I hope I will like it. After struggling to maintain momentum in the last two quarters, I think it's time I started writing for myself again. I figure there...
