Re: V34 Q1 Analysis and Discussion

While scouring The Story Doctor website, which features many of Dave's writing tips, I came across an interesting checklist Dave composed that he used to use. Here's a link: https://mystorydoctor.com/12588-2/ . Talk about extensive. I started reading not realizing how in-depth it was and finished w...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

I'm still digesting the excellent feedback I got from everyone who critiqued my story. I want to let a few ideas sit for a while before I commit to them in editing. Or maybe I just like the last-minute scramble... wotf011

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

I wrote my Q3 story back in the end of april. I gave it to a few people to read. The feedback hasn't been super, everyone likes it and says not much needs to be done. Having just received my second rejection I am a bit skeptical haha. I have left it alone so that I can have a fresh mind for final e...

Re: Wanting to Do Well But Not Win...?

I feel a little like this. I'd prefer to win (and be associated) with SF rather than fantasy, yet my last entry was fantasy and (in my opinion) not written in my 'ideal style' (whatever that is). But I think the plot was a lot smoother, and the piece might have a better chance than some of my recent...

Just FYI, as of the Tuesday wave, Dave still hadn't finished his first pass on the paper subs (aka anything mailed in or emailed into Joni on the last day). I apologize for being such a n00b here, but how are you guys tracking this stuff? I'm subscribed to a bunch of David Wolverton's social media ...

Re: How to make an excellent thesis papers from custom essay writing service for all students?

I particularly liked this part: No one wants to spend their own skills to writing their informative thesis writing paper and they will probably have no time for editing and proofreading. It totally undercuts my years of academic research. Whoops. Guess I should have known better--no sensible person ...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

Well, the first draft of my Q3 story's done (at just over 7,000 words) and while I'm not in any way satisfied with it, I'm pleased. Now the real work can begin. This is now the third new version of an older story I've been playing around with, and I hope at least I've got the right viewpoint charact...

My story's not yet done, but should be soon. I'm going to give myself a week, max, before it must be in a state suitable for reading.

Re: If I get a fourth professional sale while I'm waiting for the results, do I get disqualified?

Well, I googled around a bit and I think I'll have to ask a mod or admin to delete this thread and account, as you can't retroactively change it and it's the name of my protagonist (which I'm really not keen on changing). Talk about making an entrance! On the other hand, none of us (I think) knows ...
