Re: Jibber Jabber - Q1 - Volume 35

I thought today was the day last year I got my R. I distinctly remember having an R with time to spare before Q2 submissions were due. I think R's might have come around this time last year, but the rest of the results definitely came after the start of April. Can confirm, I got my HM result in LAT...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q1 - Volume 35

Well, got my story in super early this quarter because I knew what story I wanted to send in, and I didn't want to tie it up at another market past the deadline for this quarter.

So in as of 11/18!

Re: The editorial process for short fiction

So as someone who edits for a magazine (admittedly, token paying), I'm firmly of the opinion that the lightest touch is the best. We have bought a few stories that needed some significant copy editing work, but we rarely accept stories that we would not publish pretty close to as they are presented....

R for me this quarter. I'm a little bummed because there's a lot about this story that I like, but apparently it's not hitting the right notes.

Re: Flame Tree seeking short stories

Yeah, this is a procedure that I really don't understand... As someone who helps run a small press, we send out rejections on stories that we know we c...

For this specific call, the storie...

I just recently had my first official pro sale and joined SFWA as an associate member. AND I have book coming out in two days. It's already looking to be a wild r...
