Re: Discussion: Q1 Volume 37

Congrats to those already in! I think I’ll be reworking mine up till the 30th or 31st

I also just read Ken Loy’s finalist story, Gossamer. Has anyone else on here read it? I really enjoyed it, and it’s free online on his website: https://kenliu.name/stories/gossamer/

Re: Success!

Thanks for the compliments (and the good rating wotf007 )! In some ways it's even more exciting than my first story getting published at DSF, like that first one wasn't a fluke or anything

I'm a little late to this thread, but I like the sound of this challenge. I think I'll try something like it in 2020 (although I may do it biweekly).

First time getting an HM, so I'm pretty pumped.

Congrats to everyone! Even if you didn't place, writing and submitting a story is an achievement.

Re: Discussion: Q3 Volume 36

I can't bring myself to twitch on this one. I like the story I wrote, but I took some risks I think will end up hurting my chances. Don't know if it's actually a marketable story--it's just the one that latched on out of nowhere and wouldn't let go. I'm in the same boat as you. I think the idea beh...

Thanks for the link, but I had actually already checked on there to see if there was anything. Unfortunately, I don't see Third Flatiron on there anywhere.

Re: Almost Success - The "Mixed Feelings" Thread

Just got a rejection from Third Flatiron for their Longevity anthology. I'm sorry your story, “[Redacted]" didn't make the final cut for Third Flatiron's "Longevity"-themed Fall/Winter 2019 anthology. We hope you'll be able to find another home for it. We did enjoy reading this tale a...

Got an R...was hoping for an HM, but after one of those hinty blog posts from David Farland and rereading my own story and noting a mistake ( wotf017 ) it's what I expected. But I still have some faith in the story, so we'll see if I have any luck after another run through/revision. Oh well, congrat...

Hi guys, I'm new. My name's Will, and I'm excited to meet you all. I've been a wannabe writer since like 2011, but only in the past year have I really buckled down and gotten seriously (and only within the past year have I started seeing some success!)
