Re: Discussion: Q3 Volume 37

I have to say, I admire the tenacity of some of you. This is the 4th time I've entered and I'v felt good about each story that I've submitted beforehand, and nothing. Each has been read and critiqued by good writers, none of which are related to me :o). Hope springs eternal and so I've entered agai...

Sorry to cause the dust up. I was very general in what I posted. Edwardian to me means just after 1900 to 1914, and it doesn't have to be in England. It could be the American West or down in the deep south.

Hello... How did you get a published author to critique your story? Hi LoyalRam, I sent a Private Message to an author who had friended me on Facebook and who I follow and I had read his book. I asked politely if he had time, how much his fee was, and told him that it was for WoTF 2nd qtr, vol 37. ...

So where will the award ceremony be in 2021? Re: Accents/Diacritics and Pinyin

I am fascinated by slang from the late Victorian and Edwardian ages, and I use a small amount of it for flavor. Yet, I've decided to attempt to speak consistently in that type of language is distracting and confusing to the reader. Just my opinion.
