For those of you in the Austin area, I will be at Armadillocon this weekend. On Saturday, Aug. 15th, we'll have a "Writers of the Future and Other Contests" panel at 9 P.M. Come and hang out!

I didn't see this answered before, and if you have done so, I'm sorry for the repeat. Is there any length preference? It is unusual that WOTF accepts up to 17k. The reason I ask is that I'm getting critiques on a story that is currently 8k. Almost every other market will want a query first for such...
