Re: Discussion: Q1 Volume 38

Submitted. I knew I was going to be cutting it close, but I didn't think it'd be that close! I'm so glad I got it in, though.

Re: Looking for a critique exchange

If you still need, I'll be happy to wotf008 . (Pet peeve by the way, I think it's better to leave responses down here even if you'll communicate via pm, so people know how many others have responded. Perhaps they would only offer if no one else has volunteered. for example.) I think I found someone...

Re: Discussion: Q1 Volume 38

I've finally finished it. I just need to get some eyes on it. I put a request for a crit exchange in the forum, nothing yet. I don't really want to submit it without a few read throughs of the finished work. I've learned, Feedback is invaluable.... I'm available for a critique exchange. Feel free t...

Looking for a critique exchange

Hi, everyone. I realize I'm leaving this a little close to the deadline, and I apologize for that. I'm looking for a critique exchange for a fantasy story, about 11k, for Q1 2021. Please send me a PM if you're interested. Thank you!

Re: Discussion: Q1 Volume 38

I'm doing it for mine, partially. I've heard that "Dave prefers linear storytelling, but he's open to new ideas." Among the volumes I've read during is tenure, V33 has two nonlinear stories, V35 definitely has at least one. I can't remember others, although I know that Kary English's fina...

Re: Discussion: Q1 Volume 38

What's the general impression on nonlinear storytelling? I'm almost finished with my Q1 story, but now I'm thinking...what if I rearrange the scenes a little? I think it will generate more tension, but I wonder if it will come across as gimmicky.

Re: Discussion: Q4 Volume 37

That’s incredible, IStanhope! Top 50 or so in the world with your first try in the biggest aspiring writer contest in the world? Well done! Thank you! I've been writing for a long time, but I usually just keep things to myself. I'm trying to get out of that habit and be a little more open with my w...

Re: Discussion: Q4 Volume 37

Congrats to everyone who participated! I'm so glad to be a part of this.

I got a SHM! I've never entered the contest before, so I had no idea what to expect. This is amazing!

I submitted a few weeks ago, but it still feels surreal to me. Congrats and best of luck to everyone participating in this quarter!

Re: NEW USERS! INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!

I'm Irene. I've written for myself for a long time, but never really pursued publication until recently. I entered WOTF for the first time this quarter, and here's hoping it goes well.
