I will be there and I will be on a panel. If any WotFers want to meet up and chat I'm happy to do so. :)

Re: Success!

Mike Resnick had mentioned buying from several WotF winners for Galaxy's Edge. I'm happy to be one of them. My short story "The Held Daughter" is now up in Galaxy's Edge #3. :) Link in my sig.

Unfortunately I don't think a corpse is going to be useful to me. But hey, there's a Great Lake next to Chicago, right?

Re: Chicon 7

Laurie, the Field Museum is the finest natural history museum in the world. The Museum of Science and Industry is for kids. Makes no difference anyway. You're going to be much too busy schmoozing editors and publishers to take time off for sight-seeing. wotf008 -- Mike Chicago's Museum of Science a...

Re: Chicon 7

One of Mike's three, checking in with my schedule: You're one busy man, Brad! I'd probably keel over from that many. Are you going to find time to eat somewhere in there? :) I'm trying to figure out which day would be good for sneaking out of the con to visit Chicago's Museum of Science and Industr...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q1 - 29

Congratulations, Tina, Marina, and Steve. :) You'll be in for a treat. I have a bit of a heads up on the hotel they're hoping to use next year and it'll be sweet if they get it. The V28 group probably remembers huffing and puffing down a few blocks from the hotel to the workshop (or maybe I was the ...

Whereas this is me... *trips over her gown and does windmills trying not to pratfall* *heel breaks off her shoe, so she hobbles the rest of way* The heel did not break off my shoe, but it was my first night ever wearing that pair of shoes and the left shoe decided to partially slip off my foot as I...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q1 - 29

Do acceptances come in the form of phone calls? I only ask because I've been having phone troubles and can only be reached by email. As someone who went through this, just keep your eye out on the finalist list when it's announced. When the finalist calls went out for the quarter I eventually won m...

As a sign I'm just reading things too fast... I first read this as "That squashed banana is just gonna keep rolling." The mental image was... interesting. wotf021

Re: Superstars Writing Seminar

For those interested in which month the next Superstars is going to be, I believe Kevin said they were looking at April 2012 for the next one. It was really a good workshop.
