Re: SFWA Qualification Rates

I'll enter the bet,

My guess is most of the qualifying magazines will follow and raise their rates. A lot of them are very proud to be SFWA qualifying magazines. Some of the ones who raised to reflect the old 5cents rule might take a little longer to raise their rates.

Re: TO ANYONE LOOKING TO EXCHANGE CHECK THIS THREAD OUT FIRS

Thank you, Monty! Baen is an awesome place to run a story through. Also another free critique site is Critters. Also if you've sold one pro story you can join CODEX which also has a critique area on their message board as well. If anyone has any other great sites to post them below. http://www.critt...

TO ANYONE LOOKING TO EXCHANGE CHECK THIS THREAD OUT FIRST

Hey all! I'm Tina and I'm a frequent flyer on this board, although I don't come on as often as I used to. Here is some helpful advice on engaging in critiques on here: You have a story of any size and you're hoping to get feedback--I'd start by posting in the 450 exchange thread. Here you can add yo...

Re: New here--anyone want to exchange stories?

Hey glenn84-- I just wanted to send you a quick note as I see that some requests from above got no love either. One of the best ways to get immediate responses is to participate in the 450 exchange (first two pages). I'd go see who's swapping and send them a pm to participate, also post your intenti...

Sent you a PM JW. So sorry for your lack of response. Certain times of year can be dead on this part of the board. I'm sure Nanowrimo will make it worse for this month too. Just send your story to me copy, cut, and paste in the PM.

LDWriter2, how many days was your story waiting at Analog before the magazine rejected it? Actually I'm not sure. WorldCon was awesome. So nice to meet people face to face--it's a much better way to interact. I'm hoping to meet a lot more WOTFers in London next year.

And don't believe anything Marina, Martin, or the others say about me....
