Re: Forum Etiquette: Comic Strip Signatures

Yes, the forum is "Forum for Writers & Illustrators"; but even here, the brand identity is very story-centric: The forum title is in relatively small font; but the big banner at the top of the page is all "Writers of the Future". Like the book, that's just what the brand iden...

Re: NEW USERS! INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!

Hi, Juliana! Glad to meet you. Utah is certainly popping up a lot in speculative fiction these days! I just happened to read Tyler Carter's illustrator bio from Volume 26. I guess it's my day to spend in Virtual Utah.

Re: Forum Etiquette: Comic Strip Signatures

soulmirror, All good points. Unfortunately, "Writers of the Future" seems to be the brand identity. And sometimes even the brand owners find that it's difficult to change brand identity once it gets fixed in the minds of the public. Before I had entered WotF, I never knew there was an Illu...

Re: NEW USERS! INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!

Thanks! But please, call me Martin. I use my full name for business identity purposes, but I freak out when people call me "Mr. Shoemaker" in non-business circles. UML isn't really technical at all; but since it came out of the technical realm, people see it that way. It's really a graphic...

Re: NEW USERS! INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!

Hello! I'm Martin L. Shoemaker, joined the forums yesterday. I'm yet another OWW member. I ended up here indirectly via Kevin O. McLaughlin http://kevinomclaughlin.com/ , another OWW member. He pointed out Dean Wesley Smith's blog; and from Dean, I learned more about WotF. Since then, reading Brad's...
