Re: Success!
Greetings, all. I have two publications this week. One in Outposts of Beyond, but the main one is in Dimension6. For those who don't know, D6 is brand new this year. A free semi-pro e-mag published by the highly regarded Keith Stevenson. I'm thrilled to be on this TOC with Cat Sparks and Rob Hood, ...

OK, I did enter once back in '88 or so, but both the contest and I would prefer to forget that one.
It certainly was special for me -- my one and only SF with Dave.

Happy to say that I sold two speculative poems (a haiku and a tanka) to Grievous Angel , a new pro-paying flash and poetry imprint of Urban Fantasist. From query to submission to sale took about 4 days, so if anyone's got some flash or speculative poetry lying around, get it while it's hot! wotf007...

an "R"?
I assume this is a Brit grading thing?
Do you mean the grade that Brits tend to get in WotF, Bob?

Dave is a very different judge, with very different tastes, and that's frustrating when you can't figure out those tastes. And this is a major stumbling block for me not just here at WotF but everywhere. I read the magazine, I read the anthologies and I'm nearly always stuck trying to work out what...

Two things to report. Last month I received an acceptance for a piece of flash from Nature magazine. Totally excited about it, as it's my second SFWA qualifying sale. Also, I just received an acceptance from Perihelion Science Fiction for a recent WotF HM. No information yet on when either of these...

Just got a rejection, at 339 days. It was polite, apologetic, came from Trevor Quachri, and included the encouraging line "I think it's a good story, and I very strongly considered it for ANALOG". Would I submit to Analog again? Hell, yes! ...just not with anything that I mind being out o...

3600 swap
Hello:
yes I am back, and I think I'll use this odd little story I have written.
So it is about 3600 words, anyone want to swap feedback? I'm a little swamped in my day jab so I'd like to not commit to anything say bigger than 6 or 7 thousand.

I got my first personal from Strange Horizons this morning. I like the actual pentagram shape vs the simple star. Is there any way to darken the bird and make it appear to be exiting the symbol instead of simply overlaid on it?
