Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

Finally started the revision. Already changed things in the opening three times. This time though I won't be spending so much time on an opening-if its not what he wants wotf017 Or so I hope. But today I am procrastinating more than usual for two reasons. I ran out of social media to spend time on s...

Got yard and other stuff to do but I need to at least start on the revision tomorrow and Sunday,

And I did redo some of that Very short piece I referenced last post. Thought about a good change today at work but forgot it of course. But I changed something anyway. I think it reads better.

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q2 - Volume 34

I'm finding it so hard to write this quarter! I've been experimenting with short short stories (usually mine are 10,000 plus words) and fantasy this quarter, which I've never tried before. Consequently, I've had two stories get ripped apart on Critters. So...yeah, not feeling great about my writing...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

wrote a story for another contest tonight: a much smaller one in more ways than one. wotf011 Thought about sending it in tonight but can't shake the feeling I need to let it sit for a while just to make sure I don't come up with a new idea and have to change something. I hope to go over my WotF stor...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

Hmm, amazingly enough I think I just finished my story. I wasn't sure how to end it, I still had three ways to go, and I needed the very end. But I decided to look at the story not just think about it. I added a few sentences and, whoa, maybe what is the perfect ending. I typed sixty-five words at m...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

Still shorter than my usual but I no longer am concerned with it being too short for David.

I have three try-fail cycles which I think I may work on a bit more, I think I have figured out how my character will change. I was a bit concerned about that.

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q3 - Volume 34

Sigh

I have three endings. I need to decide which one. I said three but I have a feeling its not a certain one. But I need an ending-I mean the very end-for the other two.

Almost finished. Now I want to finish it. If I get myself to just write it could be done tomorrow night.

Shortest story I have sent in in years. Which isn't saying much since most of them have been over 15,000 words and one or two right up to the max.

Do you receive Dave's Kick in the Pants? They are his "daily" comments on writing. He may have one on dialogue even though many of the suggestions here are good. Which is why I won't add mine since it would be a repeat.

Two things-at least I hope they a difference in my writing.
