Re: Jibber Jabber - Q2 - Volume 34

I expanded the one I submitted again. Changed some scenes around and tightened up the POV in some scenes. It earned a second HM, at least it didn't become a straight R second time around.

Grinder Restored from Back-UP....

I went to log into The Grinder last night. I had to re-enter my latest entries. They had a problem and had to restore from a back-up that was in October. So check you submissions and adjust accordingly.

Yeah, yeah, another Camelotian (Arthurian?) tale. But it's my version so it involves a Barcalounger and a sledgehammer. And probably profanity.

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q1 - Volume 34

I got some great feedback yesterday at my Writer's Group for the one I'm going to submit. Just waiting to see what mark ups they post in the files later and what one member who couldn't make it has to say. Over all I'm quite pleased with it. I will definitely submit it as soon as I edit it from the ...

The only place I posted anything not fanfic was Baen's Bar. Even though that is a locked forum, I requested the entries be removed when I was done with the story there.

It seems your former boss gave you very bad advise. wotf016

The only work I put out their for free is under a handle and is fanfic. Why do people always want artists to work for free? That's what putting our stuff out there for free means.

Re: Almost Success - The "Mixed Feelings" Thread

It's been a long time since I posted to this thread, but I feel that I must. Editor's telling me that he enjoyed my story, it held his attention right up to the end, and he goes on to say that it was his favorite for the week. He doesn't buy it, though. (sigh) Give me form acceptances, any time. Sh...

Does Anyone Have Advice on Marketing A Self-Published Book?

I've tried contacting reviewers who review indy published books. I boosted my Facebook Writer's Page, I have a Twitter account, and I've paid Book Daily for some marketing. It seems most places are out of price reach.

Re: Tout your Kindle and E-Publishing!

Ok, I took a big leap last week. After my Novelette exhausted all markets I could find for it, and noticing that Novelettes are sold by themselves as eBooks, I went ahead and self-published it. It has grown about 3000 words since it's earlier incarnation and grown a subtitle, as I've decided I'll do...
