How short was it*? My HM was under 1,400 words and has quite a dark ending (even though the PoV found what they were looking for). I spent a week trying to think of an ingenious way to fix my overly predictable story ending. This weekend--in the wee hours of the morning while sleep hid from me--I came up with a twist ending. I thought I had a full 1st draft then discovered it started in the wrong place and hadn't made it to a satisfying conclusion. I think I know how to fix the beginning, but not the ending. So I have to put brain power to it. wotf005

I finished the first draft of a new story for Q4. It has an edit or two or four in store before it is ready to submit, but I am closer than I was before this week.
