Re: Tor.com is Looking for Fantasy Novellas......

This pinged my interest when you first posted the link, and my brain has been quietly plugging along at culture ideas ever since. I don't have a plot yet, but culture is the necessary framework for character concepts (which I'm working toward having). Plot tends to evolve from characters for me, so ...

I thought it'd be appropriate to post it here, but with the publication of my story "The Minotaur's Wife" in Galaxy's Edge today, I am officially pro'd out of the contest. Technically, I have two more chances to win, since I have a story in Q3 and Q4, but I cannot submit anymore new stori...

Re: Almost Success - The "Mixed Feelings" Thread

It's been a long time since I posted to this thread, but I feel that I must. Editor's telling me that he enjoyed my story, it held his attention right up to the end, and he goes on to say that it was his favorite for the week. He doesn't buy it, though. (sigh) Give me form acceptances, any time. Th...

I've been diligently sending out my semi-finalist from Q1. So far, all I've gotten is a handful of form rejections. It doesn't help that one of the markets I desperately want to send it to (Shimmer Magazine) is closed until September. wotf016
