Re: Quarter 3, vol. 30

Semi-Finalist for me. This gives me the triple crown of critiques; I've had them from Algis Budrys and KD Wentworth, and now will have one from Dave Wolverton :) I'll need to write a post about their differing critiquing styles.

And, congrats to Michael W for his Finalist!

Re: NEW USERS! INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!

Hello Everyone! I'm back! I used to be a regular on the Forum, but then a glitch with the computer gods several years ago cut me out. I became a computer atheist. wotf004 Brad Torgersen got me squared away again. (Thanks, Brad!) I think I posted a few times. But then I had other "life" thi...

Re: NEW USERS! INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!

I'm back!! Not a new user, but for hidden and arcane reasons my computer had stopped letting me login a few years ago. I tried debugging it a few times--no go. Even Brad tried. I gave up. But this time it worked. Yay! Thanks, Brad. wotf009 It was great to meet a bunch of you at WorldCon. That's what...

Hi Kevin, Thanks for joining us. Your previous answer was about outlining and characterization of big novels. For you, how does that change when writing short stories or novelettes?

I'm not keen on limiting us to only one topic, but I also don't know how you would keep multiple topics from becoming too unmanageable. Maybe you could give us a few topics and their guide words, such as Submitting, Work Habits, Characterization. (I'm not suggesting these topics, though they would b...
