Re: Success!

I've just been shortlisted for the Ditmar Awards - in the Best New Talent category. This was something I didn't see coming, and I'm excited and honoured beyond belief. I'm up aganst a couple of really exciting writers, but simply being recognised at the national level I the sort of validation I real...

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q1 - 29

Subbed Q 1.
Entered on Duotrope.

Waited

Subbed Q2 on the last day of March
Entered on Duotrope.

Waited.

Received Q1 rejection from WoTF on the 19th April

Entered R on Duotrope - either mistakenly on Q2 sub, or believed R was for Q2.

It's a theory, and it fits the timeline.

Re: Brad's in Analog AGAIN...

Best to have these things out there and in black and white (BOLD, no less) so we can internet time capsule the idea. We can point all the newbies here and say "Look upon the bestselling author Steve aka Klaatu's brilliance and forethought. He was a great poster! I hope no one really thinks tha...

Re: Brad's in Analog AGAIN...

I had a thought this morning. (They don't happen too often, etc etc)

And I'm totally serious on this.

I predict that within 3 to 7 years (after KD decides it's time to move on) Brad will be the co-ordinating judge at WoTF.

You know how celebrity couples get their names combined, like Brangelina? They need to rename it "Bradalog" and be done with it. :D Check out this post from further up this page: Do NOT ask how I got hold of this - let's just say someone on the inside let me see it. The announcement isn't...

Re: Success!

So I subbed a story ( So Sad, The Lighthouse Keeper ) to WoTF and it received a straight rejection. Then it was published in Anywhere But Earth in November, and my story has since received personal comments in a couple of great reviews. Today, on the publishers website: http://www.coeurdelion.com.au...

Re: Q1 Volume 29

I had one of my vivid dreams last night. Incredibly detailed. Colour, clear defined events, and extensive dialogue - all that I remember with complete clarity. A few times in the past, I've had dreams like this that have come true. (Of course I have had many more that haven't). I've never dreamt abo...

My favourite of all these 'fringe' arts is one that I use often. It can be applied to ALL aspects of your life, and has a 100% accuracy guarantee - EVERY time. It's Hindsightology. All you do is wait till an event has passed, and then blithely say, "I knew that was going to happen." Practi...
