I got my rejection too. Still don't know what happened to my Winter submission, but I've moved on at this point, anyway.

I'll get around to querying them eventually...

Re: NEW USERS! INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!

That's a really good point. You couldn't find them, and I only found them after I remembered the URL. I started with his web site and couldn't find them. That's a gap in his marketing. We should point that out to him or his web team. He mentions them at the bottom of some of his daily kicks, but yo...

I agree with everything Martin said. If you're looking for workshops that will allow you to practice the craft without breaking the bank on airfare or require taking a lot of time off work, Dean Wesley Smith has some good online workshops. Dean & Kris's workshops are at http://www.deanwesleysmi...

I'm in for Egyptian mythology as well. Good luck to everyone who submitted. Still don't know what happened to my winter submission. I put the theme in the subject line, but I also submitted on the last day so I suppose it could have been misfiled. I'll query in a couple days and then send this one o...

Re: SFWA Qualification Rates

Thanks Marina. I don't think this will hurt markets very much because readers don't go to a magazine because it qualifies with SFWA. They go because the editors publish great stories. So long as they keep publishing good fiction, they'll keep getting readers and consequently revenue. This change wil...
