I had a story rejected because I left my name on it. Stupid mistake, I knew it the moment I sent it off, too. Next quarter I sent it in for an HM. Newer can be better, but guage your story. The moral of the story: we are responsible for ourselves; they don't owe us the coddling to explain "you ...

I've got a few 2nd round items as semi-pro zines. I've got one pro zine that hasn't yet rejected almost going on a year now that they've confirmed they're still considering. And then there's my semi-finalist. Enough that I know I need to keep pushing. I know my time will come.
