though I should in fairness point out that this quarter's story is not the sort of thing I normally write. Which means you might write the story that sends you to the head of the class. I'm sure Dave is keen on finding any new thought or process. Be original, stretch the boundaries of your imaginat...

Congrats on the good news KD and EcaimanSands. Friday sure is a long wait. I was going to email Joni today but after reading the comments I'll take the patient approach.

Re: Frustrations...

Participating in this forum has helped improve my writing ability. The only time I submit a short story is once each quarter for WotF. I spend most of my time learning to write novels with the hope of being published one day. Everyone here is friendly and helpful most of the time. If I hadn't found ...

Yesterday I asked my wife to check my phone if it rang while I was in another room. Less than an our later I got a call and the regional indicator said La, Ca. Needless to say my level of excitement was very high as I answered.

Re: Jibber Jabber - Q4 - Volume 33

For me the learning curve I'm on is one of patience. A certain golden pen award winner mentioned how he didn't submit to many places other than WotF. That's pretty much where I'm at. I really want to win a place in an anthology but at the same time I write novels with the intention of being publishe...

Re: What are a couple of things that have improved your writ

I went through a painful time in the last couple of years too. I'm convinced that my immobility helped me become more focused on writing. I'm talking about the days when my armpits were tender from the crutches I used to move from one room to another. Now that I've recovered my mobility I have to sc...
