Sorry, that was the best I could get in 640 wide. A larger version is here.

And panel 5 of this episode makes me think of you (though that's a crocodile, not an alligator).

With apologies to our own Annie... wotf013

The news'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be news!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the writing,
And the progress
'Til there's NNiNN!

When I'm stuck with a plot
That's not
Quite working,
I just visit the boards
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh!

The news'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
She'll call ya Tomorrow!
You're always
A day
Away!

Strange dream last night. Was a finalist and then one of the final 3 for the quarter. Then it turned out they took the winners from all four quarters and made them battle it out like in the hunger games. I woke up before I found out if I won for the whole year, but it was interesting while it lasted....

Evil Martin starts to wonder if there's an Evil Joni lurking out there somewhere! Suddenly an email just arrived in my Inbox; and it's from Writers of the Future!

But wait... It's just telling me that my Q3 entry has been received, and encouraging me to get to work on my Q4.

I suspect somewhere Evil Martin and Evil Joni are having a good laugh at the expense of my nerves...

When did you submit Q3? I remember you mentioning it, I think. Wasn't it quite some time ago?

April 3. As soon as the site reopened for submissions. If mine was not Submission #1 for Q3, it was darned close to it. So these messages are coming about a month delayed.

I always thought those responses were automatic. Of course I always enter on the last day or two.
Just trying to push the post count up in this thread... There will never be another one so long. haha.
So, the interesting thing might be if you are a finalist for Q1, being judged for the top three spots and then hear back from Q2, whether it is a R or HM :) Hopefully they work out the top three before getting stuck in limbo again.

I wonder if you could get an R for Q2 while in the process of winning Q1?

I got my Q3 confirmation too, but oddly never received one for my Q2 submission. Does anyone else have a similar dilemma?

That would be the non-Evil interpretation, and very reasonable. But it seems odd to me that I received the automatic response on 4/2, and then this response today.

I wonder if you could get an R for Q2 while in the process of winning Q1?

Heh, wouldn't that be the perfect anecdote for an acceptance speech? I sure hope they don't make you guys wait that long though. wotf005 I need you all in fighting shape and focused . . . So we can swap Q3 critiques.

Looks like no Results Thursday this week...

(Meanwhile, Evil Martin wotf013 notes that there has been a lot of activity on PRweb this week, one press release every day for three straight days... Almost like a planned campaign...)
