It was indeed. I went through quite a phase of failing to apply Heinlein's Rules, particularly rule 2. It is invaluable to be put back on track when derailed.
I am hoping that story may sell, but I'm also excited to have completed 3 good length stories and done some very useful (I hope) revisions since the summer holidays. It is so very satisfying to be FINISHING stuff again!
For the benefit of those who may be unfamiliar with the term:
1. You must write.
2. You must finish what you write.
3. You must refrain from rewriting, except to editorial order. ***
4. You must put the work on the market.
5. You must keep the work on the market until it is sold.
