A WotF survey - select next cover(?)

Postby Dustin Adams » Wed Jul 29, 2015 11:42 am

For those who have opted out of the mailing, this may be something of interest.
If not, nothing to see here. wotf037

However, it possibly involves the possible cover for V.32, which some of you will no doubt be in.
(You just don't know it yet.) wotf013

Does the above look familiar to anyone? Just curious as to how many folks have received this email?

I got that one, too. Didn't open it or look at the survey, though.

I've unsubscribed from all surveys. I forget how, but it is an option if you're tired of the spam.

Surveys of the sort are generally and obviously phishing schemes -- to update and validate e-mail list contacts. Opts out are answers, as are answers to phishing surveys. If only such surveys were not so obviously intended and came with quid pro quo returns . . .

They had one to gauge the interest of buying and publishing semi-finalists. I haven't seen any further movement on that, but it would have been sweet. And could make visiting their site relevant. Read the latest story while waiting for the next anthology, and while your here, can I interest you in the the L. Ron backlog?
Seems viable, but maybe someone ran the numbers, and it came out as a loss. wotf017

I just got this email this morning. Seems sketchy? I guess they got my name from my contest entry form. What does a survey like this do for them? I assume I won't be faulted for ignoring it.

Blind judging.
You can ignore if you'd like.

I never completed a survey and it didn't affect my entries at all. (In fact, I unsubscribed because I found them too spammy.)
