So for folks being held in the hopes of being a published finalist, how critical is anonymity? If one were to bump into Dave somewhere, can you say, "Hi! I was one of your finalists!" Can you mention your story at all? Say, "Hi, mine was the one with the dragon that ate lollipops (obv. not my story)!" Or, "Yes, I was a finalist, and I'm being held for PF, so I can't say the name of my story or anything, but hope to see you next April!"

Or is it better just to put on the sunglasses, pull up the hood, and pretend to read a newspaper?

I'd check with Joni on that one, Athena. Then, if Joni answers, those of us still awaiting Q2 results will know she's still there.

Dave doesn't make the absolute final call on PF (there are other constraints like length etc) but he does get to say this is the one I want, etc. I don't think anonymity is a big concern here. When it comes time for PF selection he's looking for something to complement the rest of the volume.

Thanks, Randy. I hadn't realized there were so few Silver HM'S in a quarter. It makes me happier with my Q2 result.
