Yes, and I'm waiting for something to be under the "story" section of that "totally-secret-not-yet-out-there website for an unnamed symbolic entity of madness". And I have read some pretty weird, out-there stories, so I expect to be impressed...

And you're welcome. wotf011

So it's Stewart you're stalking?

It's the beard, isn't it.

It's fine. I understand. It's magnetic. I don't know if I'll be able to control myself in its presence.

I hope Stewart & I aren't sharing a room, as it can be awkward to explain why you are stroking someone's beard in their sleep.

Beards are for the weak. Hats are where it's at. The only reason I'm not going to wear a different hat every day at the workshop is now that I've finally found a hatmaker who can fit my head I have to save up and have him slowly build me an entirely new hat collection, and at the prices a genuine French haberdasher commands, that will take me a while. Worth every penny though.

Hooray for hats!

I'm not sure I'll bring my top hat because it would be a pain to pack and I'd only be wearing It for being outside on the day of the ceremony.

But I do have an all-purpose hat that I wear.

WotF32.com is now live!

It's not quite rounded out with everyone's details, yet, but it's got most of everything up: bios for writers, for illustrators, and intros & descriptions from the stories. And, most importantly, big fat lovely pre-order links on the front page wotf001

Share, shout and spread the word, and we'll love you for it forever! (But seriously, links plz; Google PageRank loves links.)

It's here! It's here! The day is here!

Well, no, it isn't, but it will be in a few hours, and I won't have time to update in the morning. I'm waking up at a fairly normal half six to leave by half seven to get to the airport by half eleven to check in for the flight at half two to land at a six o clock that's eight hours in the past and really just two am in disguise to get through US customs & security which is always nerve-wracking to get picked up by the ASI driver (called Mitch, who's already emailed me and said we can stop off at a supermarket on the way, yay!) to get driven to the hotel to maybe arrive by eight which is really four am which is twenty hours straight of travelling. Fun!

After that, though, everyone else is arriving in dribs and drabs on the Monday, including Rachael who's picking me up in the morning with her husband so we can go to the Tar Pits and complain about the lack of dinosaur bones, and then the surrealist experience of my life all kicks off from Tuesday. It really is once in a lifetime--they won't let me enter again now--so I am damn well gonna make the most of this wotf007

Follow along on my Twitter & Facebook (links in sig) because I am going to be updating constantly. Live vicariously through my social media stream of consciousness! You know you want to.

If I don't see you during, I'll see you after wotf009

Stuck in departures. I hate airports.

Thought I'd make the most of the time by sending some subs off, after 3 form rejections in 8 hours yesterday (Fireside, FSotI, Strange Horizons, in that order, spelling FFS), and the Grinder is down. Gah!

Revisions instead, then.

Hashtag on twitter, btw, is #WotF32. Hopefully everyone else remembers to use it so I don't look like a madman talking to myself on it wotf007

We're all here safely, and have met the judges and had our photo taken poolside. We're enormously lucky to have Megan E. O'Keefe (V30) as our chaperone for the week, and Sean Williams is hanging out with us already, and he's a real gentleman.

Illustrators are arriving through today, and us writers are straight into this morning; we're meeting Joni down in the lobby at 9 to walk down Hollywood Boulevard to Author Services, have a tour, and get cracking on the workshop. We're in workshop every day from 9-6, and then they're keeping us busy with portraits and interviews and rehearsals in the evenings as well. Motto for the week: you can sleep when you're dead.

Everyone ASI side has been enormously friendly and helpful, and it goes without saying that all us writers are intelligent, attractive and funny. A week already seems like too little time with them all.

Greetings from Hollywood!

Everything about the workshop is just as amazing as you've been told. They're really focused on giving us an amazing experience here. I can't wait to start learning from our instructors. Well, that's a lie. The learning started last night, when some of them shared their evening with us in the hotel lobby/bar, chatting and being sociable.

Guys, this is so worth it. Get your stories entered. You want to be here next year.
