That's exactly what I do, too. I have a local webpage thing I built, which I use to track a lot of things -- my writing, which markets are available in which genres for my specific story length, which of them I've submitted to and how often, what their typical response-times have been for me (reporting separately for regular rejections, second- or later rounds, and actual acceptances), which edits I've made to which stories and when, and also to compile some informational sites that I can refer to if I want to. But the Grinder is great for bulk information, and to get a sense of how a market is responding right now.

I think we're through the first pass now, so those remaining, given that they received receipt confirmation from Joni, can assume their story will get a full read.

It boggles my mind that he will fully read something like 100 - 200 stories, if my math is right. Even if each story reading is quick (e.g. 10 minutes), that's still a lot of reading. wotf015

Sympathies to those that got rejections, it's never a good day when that happens, but it does get easier with time.

Although I must admit, fourth quarter rejections are the hardest.

Best wishes to all those still in!

Someone artistic should design a WOTF Forum Battle Banner (or WOTFFBB for short).

This is a lot more fun than hiding under a table. wotf013 I'm gonna see if I can find time to draw up the banner myself in the next few days (maybe tomorrow after truck). Love the design and color choices, amoskalisk!

I'd be tempted to paint up a Warhammer figurine with that banner, but unfortunately, I gave my army -- banner bearers and all -- to my brother, who had the advantage of living in the same country it was sitting in.

That said, it would have been a rat-man, so not sure what that would have said about us all anyway...
