Hey Imagination Vortex,

Could you please also add me to the list? I subbed for Q1 on December 10th and I still haven't received any news.

Thanks!

So what comes next? Do we expect another round of rejections, or are we into awards territory?

Likely the next round will have a smattering of R's, but mostly HM and above.
Odds are good from here on.

There were people who subbed on the 31st who got R's, though. Most people tend to submit in the last month of the contest.

Hello! I'm new to the forum, and just like Jarebcollins, I've been reading the board from afar the past several weeks. I submitted 12/29. No R yet, but I know it's coming.

I feel that way too. I just submitted, and have been reading the board and blog for the last few weeks too. Best of luck to you!

For those of us still waiting, I looked back through records and it appears that Q1 HM and higher results have come out in the last week of April for the last several years. It would be lovely if they were earlier this time, but I'm going to hold off on any twitching until the end of next month.

True, but the workshop has also been a week later the last two years. Based on past years, I'm betting on Monday, April 17 for the next round of results. Or maybe even as early as the 10th.

But it's a long, long while from May to December
And the days grow short when you reach September
And the autumn weather turns the leaves to flame
And I haven't got time for the waiting game.

Oh, the days dwindle down to a precious few
September, November
And these few precious days, I still need to win
These precious days, I need to win!

We have cleared all mooring and cast off all lines. The last of the buoys are behind us and swells are lifting the bow.

I remember "Ole Blue Eyes." I have High Hopes that The Best is Yet to Come for my story, though this quarter might be won by a Girl From Ipanema. Still, I'm in and They Can't Take That Away From Me. Unlike you, I will twitch, waiting to see if I've won it All or Nothing at All, and hope Luck Be a Lady even though sometimes The Lady is a Tramp.

You might take this missive for Something Stupid, from an old guy, but I'm Young at Heart waiting for the Summer Wind to blow Pennies From Heaven My Way.

As of today, Dave's still working on judging Q1, and has a hundred or so stories yet to read through that he's hoping to get through in the next week or so.

I'm taking one of his online classes which includes biweekly conference calls where he takes questions from all of his students. He mentioned it during today's call.
