Brace yourselfs... Thursday is coming!

I'm not too anxious about hearing the results from Q1 because like some of you, although I very much enjoy the idea of my Q1 submission, I don't think the execution is quite up to par. So I don't think it has much of a chance of rising above HM. My Q2 submission however... I'm pretty anxious those results. Then again, I might just be fooling myself.

R - R - R - R - R - HM - HM - HM - HM - HM - SHM - HM - (Q4 pending result)

I'm in the same boat, wanting my Q2 to win more than my Q1. Though part of that is due to the fact that I can't submit my Q2 to as many places as the Q1 story.

Based on the results timetable from last year, we're due for a Thursday any day now, I say while desperately trying not to gnaw my own hand off from twitchy anxiety...

Congratulations, Greenroom!

As for me, wotf055

For reference, the story was 680 words long. So apparently flash is not an auto-reject. wotf007

Honorable Mention! Surprising, as it was a resubmission from last quarter. I was rejected then and misunderstood how judging worked. I'm happy regardless!

This makes my third SHM in a row. Not sure how I feel about that at the moment, but that's almost certainly due to entirely unrelated factors. I'll keep trying.

I went on a four-in-a-row Silver HM streak until this quarter, when I made finalist, so I'd say you're probably on the right track!

I must admit that I thought a heavily Christian themed vvampire story stood no chance and an HM is quite a surprise.

Wow. Anyone know how long critiques usually take to come through? I was looking forward to being able to send this story straight back out again, but maybe it's best to wait and see what Dave thought it was lacking. :)

To be honest though, I'm kind of starting to worry that I might not be able to get past the HM stage.

HM

Congratulations to everyone above.

To be honest I knew this one had a problem but until today I didn't know what to do about it. Strange how it seems so easy when it's too late!

By the way, newer members might want to calculate their WotF batting average. It's simply every entry = at bat and every HM or better = hit.
1 x SF, 2 x SHM, 10 x HM, WotF batting average .565

Mine was a dinosaur western, but he liked it enough for it to be a semi, so I hope it is sellable elsewhere!
