Hmm. At 127 days now and no response. I see there are already Finalists who have been announced here, but I've got nothing. This is one of those (heavily) revised stories, so I'm not sure if something good is brewing, or Dave saw the story again and just didn't bother to respond.

How did you submit? Electronically or paper app?

Yup, me and inky_illuminarium, who mentioned that they are a finalist in the welcome new members thread.

Still haven't heard anything. Currently hiding out in Kurt Vonnegut novels until this all blows over.

Hey, folks! I've had two people take up my offer to read and critique their Q1 submissions: hlreinhold and kentagions. (Hope y'all don't mind that I just used you as personal references in this post. ;D) Both read-throughs were enjoyable and helpful to me. Hopefully it was helpful to them too! I would love to read more--doesn't matter the rank. It's not an exchange so all you have to do is PM me and then send your story my way with a brief explanation on why you think your story got the rank that it did (strengths and weaknesses). You get an additional critique with no commitment on your end, and I enjoy an opportunity to broaden my editorial skills and play at seeing through Dave's eyes.

Amy

p.s. I find that this has also been great twitch therapy to fill in the time before Q2 results start coming out. Can the next 6 weeks go any faster?!

I hear ya! I guess Joni's 1-2 weeks was a tad optimistic.

Congrats! Wonderful news! wotf010

I just got off the phone with Joni too. Did not win, but she asked if they could hold piece for published finalist. I said sure. And she said she would send me judges feedback via email too which was super nice of her (I didn't think they did that for finalists?)

Anyway great news Jeremy! So happy for you!

Jeremy, WOW! Super Congrats!

Inky, hang in there! The judge's feedback is a new thing, I think. I would have loved that for my Finalists, but, alas, it wasn't so.

Congrats Jeremy.

I didn't win, but got an email asking if I would like the story to be held for possible anthology inclusion (Joni did try phoning, but we've moved since December).

So, fingers crossed for a win before then, eh.
