I'd been procrastinating on editing, and then yesterday I ended up making a trip to the emergency room because of pain in my stomach and back (among other things). Long story short, I'm alright, but I need to be more careful about what I eat in future unless I want to tear apart my insides and experience a pretty hefty amount of pain.

I submitted for Q2 on 3/24/2017. It's a pretty good one, probably the best story I've ever sent to the contest, so fingers crossed!

I'm in! Couldn't quite finish the story I wanted to enter, but that means I'll have plenty of time to polish it for next quarter. That is, if I need to. wotf026

I just realised I hadn't submitted my story yet. I've had it prepared for a while. But it's done now :)

I'm wondering if I'm going to make the deadline doing this rewrite. Oh, well if I don't it will go into Quarter 03 instead. Though I'd rather get it in this quarter and then get the other piece that stalled ready for next. wotf024

I mailed my submission in on the 28th. Will I still get an email despite having sent a paper submission? Or do the responses come in the same form as the submission? Anyway, good luck to everyone on their submissions wotf008

I'm in for Quarter 2!

(not sure how the forum will timestamp this, but for the purposes of the list, I submitted on March 30th in my time zone)

The website says that entries are closed. Shouldn't we have until midnight tonight (March 31) to click submit?

That's a glitch that happens depressingly often. E-mail your entry to Joni and explain the situation. She'll make sure you get entered in. It'll get treated like a paper submission so it may take you longer to hear back.

There may be a slower response than normal, what with the workshop going on this week.

I emailed Joni about this, and just heard back. She said she's working on it now, and it should be open again in a few minutes.

Yep, just heard back too. That's a relief.

Last night I thought "one more day worth of fresh eyes, maybe you'll catch something. And it's not like you don't have the time." Well, I scanned it again, did find a couple small fixes, and then went to submit at got the error. I was going to chalk it up to a learning experience of waiting to the last minute, but we seem to be getting it resolved, so no worries.

Neither am I. I've spent most of the week curled up under a blanket trying to recover. My brain hasn't been for editing, that's for certain. I missed this quarter last year, too....

In any case, good luck, all! wotf008

Hmm. What time zone does the deadline go by? I'd also prefer to submit online, if it's going to be fixed, but it's getting pretty late here and I might have to call it a night soon.

I just tried to enter. Board indicated that entries are closed. Midnight Pacific Time is the cutoff by the rules.

Joni has helped with this problem in the past, so I sent her an email with my story attached and all of the pertinent info: name, address, phone, agreement with the rules. And a really big thank you.
