I am in, after much headbanging after realizing that scrivener was justifying my fonts on export. And I've been doing it that way for many submissions...

I'm in 6/29 with a massively revised rejection from several years ago. Let's see if DF likes it better now. :) Crossing fingers!

I'm in...pretty sure I'll get another R as it's kind of a trunky story, but who knows? I have got to stop procrastinating. Deadlines, ugh!
Must start working on next story now.
Good luck, all!

I realised on the way home today that I hadn't actually submitted my story this quarter. So I went to do it as soon as I got home and of course it says submissions are closed -_-

It's a story I don't think has much of a chance, for reasons, but not submitting will definitely reduce that chance to zero ;p

I'm pretty sure you have in the USA basically a whole day left so I'll try again in my morning before I take the email Joni path.

5am. Sitting at my computer, editing my story.
Sigh.

I do hope the electronic submission system is open or Joni will explode.
I bet they get as many entries on the last day as they do the 89 other days.

3:15 am. About to get back to writing the end of my story in 15 minutes. And then I get to start editing. I hate running this late.

As to the submission system, I'm not at all surprised that it is closed. I checked yesterday, and the system said the contest runs from 12 am April 1 to 12 am April 30th, so I wonder if the shut down is related to it that. I emailed Joni about it, and she confirmed that the contest is actually open until the last minute of the 30th rather than the first, though. I do hope it reopens as I'd much prefer to enter via the system rather than by email.

4:15 am: One scene to go! I can do this!

5:30: Rough Draft done!!

For all of you submitting via email today, Joni just sent this out:

Edit: clarified that she means 11:59pm. wotf001

Dear All,

OK, so the portal just re-opened!!!! It will be open until 12:59pm Pacific Standard Time tonight (I HOPE).

But just to be safe try to enter today before 8:59pm Pacific Standard Time

You see the company that "houses" this data base is on the East Coast - that is why the usual problems with this deadline.

Anyway, I hope you see this before you read the earlier message I sent today.

best,

Joni

People talk of being confident or not. I used to be but now, no matter how I feel about my story, I think I just have some hope I did enough things right.

I'm in. Fri 30/06. Random Q: has anyone discovered anything interesting by using the date of submission data? The waves seem to come all at once for everyone, from what I've seen, regardless of when you submitted in the quarter. Except for paper subs, of course.
