Happy Thursday!
Okay, I honestly expect nothing today, due to the workshop week and award ceremony. But look out next week!

This is a problem. It's extremely difficult for me to move on before a conclusion has been reached on a previous work.
I'm tweaking my submission to death instead of finishing anything else.

The only remedy I've found for this is to have many submissions out at once. Once I had about ten, it diffused the tension enough that I no longer obsessed about any one in particular. For instance, I know I submitted to this quarter, but I barely remember what story it was or how good I thought it might be.
That being said, I still twitch when I see an email from Joni.

I guess what I just received constitutes an R. Email said my story had been judged and did not place. First time through the process...hopefully the next time will be better.

Time to get your story out and into other markets after a re-read or two. The world doesn’t end at WoTF!

Congratulations to Sataris on Finalist! Best of success on getting the next call as a winner!
Congratulations to Dawn Vogel as semifinalist. Always great getting Dave's advice on your writing and story!
Congratulations to all getting HMs! It means Dave thought your story was professionally written, and he wants to see more from you.
Congratulations to all that submitted! You didn't self-reject, and you had the courage to complete a story and send it out to a pro market!
Now to all (myself included that got an HM), REJECT REJECTOMANCY and get cracking on Q3!
Keep writing. Keep sending. Keep believing.
