Some advice a friend of mine once told me:

Trying to write with small kids is extremely difficult. You should almost always try a pen instead.

I kept a notebook handy when I had children to watch. Those world-shaking ideas would occur to me at the most inopportune times: changing diapers, cooking dinner, cleaning up...let's not go there. I could jot a quick note or two that would jog my memory for later. Good ideas evaporate fast if they aren't written up right away.

Good luck, everyone.

Naptime is precious to me! I couldn’t write if I didn’t get that brief break. Newborns sleep a lot- take advantage of that! Good luck!

Submitted for the first time in a while. Certainly the first time since 2016. I finally finished a story I'd had in the works for several years that I thought might be a fit.

Yay me!

Edited because I went back and checked: my last entry was longer ago than I thought. Sheesh.

Congratulations on stepping back up to the plate and taking a swing, J.J. Now that you're here, you might as well keep swinging each quarter. Better chances on hitting a home run!

I'll probably send mine in tonight. I always get nervous about sending something in early, because then I think of something, and yep, his eyes were blue and I said they were green, but it's now out of my hands...

All the best on your entry, KD. If it's the one I gave a critique on the opening, it should do well, it's an interesting world.

Yeah... I wouldn't worry TOO much about this kind of continuity error. My story had one that... well let's just say it obviously didn't end up stopping me from winning and everyone can just pretend that the details are unimportant. Deal? Deal.

Although in the entry I just sent in, during my final pass I realized that I killed a minion in one paragraph and had him chopping off legs two paragraphs later. While there is an undead Thing in the story, it wasn't that guy....

At least I caught that before I hit submit!

So much procrastination for me this quarter. I just started into my story. I might end up sending one of my unused stories from last quarter.

Nothing like getting your Q3 story in on the last day because you finished writing (and hopefully editing it as best as possible) about three minutes before you submitted it. This is NOT how I like doing things, people, but it is done...!

Best of luck to everyone! wotf008

I'm in, as of a moment ago.

Needed a break. Didn't think I was going to submit this quarter but inspiration hit and I wrote one over the last few days. I don't think it'll do much for dave but I am proud of it and ready for Q4. 3 for 3 so far.
