I got third place. Joni called me Monday and I’m still glowing. It feels so darn good to finally get the win.

This piece was an HM a year ago. I made a small but crucial change, lopped 10% out of the first couple pages, and now it hits all the right notes.

Who’s going to be with me in LA next year?

It's that beautiful blue sign!!! Yes! Yes! YESSSSS!!!!

This was his fifth NWF (Non-winning Finalist).
He has 3 semi-finalists.

Damn.

Wow, I don't know him but I sure as heck know how he feels. Damn. The plus-5 club is exclusive, and uncomfortable. Founding member Scott Parkin, current record holder KD Julicher, rising contender Cliff Winnig!

This is very exciting, first time I've seen a winner since I've been checking the forum! I hope there will be more of us to join you in LA!!!

wotf010 Congrats, KD! With 6 "almost there" steps and the perseverance to take an HM story, trim it and reinvent where necessary... you must write a book about it!
Or wait, I saw in my crystal ball that the best is yet to come. Way to go! wotf009

Because I could not get on the site for a couple of months at least, I am behind here. Congratulations to KD and anyone else that won this quarter

Not sure if I need to say it this late in the quarter-if anyone was keeping tabs on who entered-but I received my usual total rejection.

Sorry to hear that LDWriter. Hang in there.
For there is death in the sound of it, and a glamorous fatality, like silver pennons downrushing at sunset, or a dying fall of horns along the road to Ronceveaux.

The only easy day was yesterday.

Thanks, this, or Q2's story, was not one of my best but the other one I was expecting more from.

Did you make an electronic sub or a paper sub? (If you made an electronic sub, it's possible your spam filter caught Joni's e-mail or something.)
