Vote For Your Favorite Anthology!

Postby Wulf Moon » Sun Jan 05, 2020 12:24 pm

Every year, you likely buy the latest Writers of the Future volume and read it cover to cover. It may well be the only anthology published in the year you do this with. Wondrous stories, fascinating articles on writing by the best pros in the business, cover art that makes you go Wow!, and full color illustrations by amazing new talent, created special for each story in the anthology. Who else does such a thing?

If you feel Writers of the Future Volume 35 was your favorite anthology published in 2019, there's a way you can tell the world: The annual Critters Readers' Poll. Last year, two thousand readers from around the world voted for their favorites. Time is running out, however--the poll is closing in just a little over a week. The Readers' Poll has a long list of great contenders in this category--respect to all that were nominated. DO choose your favorite. And if it's Writers of the Future, Volume 35, thanks for giving it some love. Contests help increase visibility for publishers, editors, authors, artists.

The Critters Poll offers lots of great categories to vote on and share in shaping knowledge of what you readers most enjoyed in 2019! Here's where you can make your mark for BEST ANTHOLOGY published in 2019!

Cheers!

I voted already. WotF has been my favourite anthology since I first read it at Volume 30. :)
35: - R R R | 36: R HM R R | 37: HM HM HM ?

Probably free for critique swaps, but double-check in case I'm away.

I cannot claim it. I reviewed the options on a small screen and missed the box for comments. It would seem that you have many admirers, Mr. Wulf. wotf008

However, you were correct in assuming I had a preference for certain authors and short stories. So, you were not so very far off the mark. wotf007

Update: In the Critters Readers' Choice Awards, WRITERS OF THE FUTURE, VOL. 35 is in 2nd place for Best Anthology published in 2019.

For Best Writers' Discussion Forum, we were in 1st place since polling opened, but dropped to 2nd today. wotf005

The good news? We can change that! But there are only two days left! If you haven't voted and love this Forum and the Writers of the Future Anthology, please cast your votes now. Just a couple votes often make the difference between winning or losing, and it would really be nice to tell the world how we feel about our beloved anthology and writers Forum.

Thanks, Dustin! It's pretty clear you love this place and the anthologies. : ) One day left all! If you have legitimate reasons like Dustin for saying you thought WRITERS OF THE FUTURE VOL. 35 was the Best Anthology of 2019, make your mark. And if you love the WotF Forum, there's one day left to vote for Best Writers' Forum. Make your mark!

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO WRITERS OF THE FUTURE, GALAXY PRESS, AUTHOR SERVICES, EDITOR AND JUDGES, AND AUTHORS AND ILLUSTRATORS BEHIND THE CREATION OF WRITERS OF THE FUTURE VOLUME 35!

It was a close race, and there were many wonderful anthologies nominated for BEST ANTHOLOGY OF 2019. Over two thousand readers voted in the Critters Readers' Choice Awards this year, and they voted for their favorite things in publishing that occurred in 2019. One of those categories was BEST ANTHOLOGY.

WRITERS OF THE FUTURE, VOLUME 35 won FIRST PLACE! First time ever, I believe, and so deserving of the recognition. They put out such a beautiful book and have many loyal reader fans! Like you Forumites that buy the anthologies year after year and read them cover to cover. I can't think of another anthology that has such a huge base of loyal readers. Writers of the Future? You deserved this win. You have created an anthology filled with wonder.

To all those that felt the same, and even to those that did not, thank you for voting. That's the nice thing about Readers Choice awards. It's about what the readers like. And after all, aren't they the ones buying the anthologies? They should have a voice.

You have been heard.

Warmth and sunshine,

Wulf Moon
