Re: Discussion: Q3 Volume 37
Darnit, the Wizehive form is reporting that it's closed for Q3 -- I suspect an error, maybe just the wrong date set up for it. I've dropped an email over to Joni, hopefully it'll be fixed in time for me to submit tomorrow before the deadline.

I've had trouble submitting last night too, with the message being "sorry applications are closed".
Hopefully the problem is cleared up before the deadline

Me three on the "applications are closed" message. I am confident that Joni will help us when the west coast starts its day but I'm also jittery, I think my animal brain needs to actually send this file before it will accept that it's time to stop picking at this story and go full throttle on the next one.

Not the first time this glitch has happened. Keep trying--and e-mailing Joni is definitely not a bad option, because if nothing else she can get your story in as a paper sub.

Re: Discussion: Q3 Volume 37
Hi! Does anyone know if the deadline is based on the time zones we are in or in America's time zone? For example, can I submit my manuscript (Electronically) on July 1st in Taiwan but June 30 in America?

The listed deadline is "11:59 p.m. June 30, 2020 Pacific Standard Time" so you can submit! (....once it's fixed.)

Yeah, I'm getting the applications are closed message as well. I shot Joni an email... but should I have attached my story to that email or should I email it to her now to be safe? It's 1AM in Melbourne and I'm tired, but I have no idea what time the contest closes in my time so I always just try to have entered around midnight on the deadline date my time.

Looks like the submissions page crapped itself early today.
Breaking 15.5 hours early this time. I think that's a new record, isn't it?

Excellent! And I'm in -- I made a couple of small amends first thing this morning which I liked, too, so perhaps the shut-down form saved me from myself just a tiny bit...

Joni will always accept if you write to her right away, but sounds like the portal is working now. Success to you and to all! Well, to getting in, at least. The rest is now out of your hands.

After a whirlwind marathon of five 10+ hour days, I finally finished and submitted my story!
A week ago I had NOTHING (besides a few notes and outlines) and didn't think I was going to make it.
Good luck to everyone!!

I usually receive a Wizehive confirmation, then Joni's confirmation a day or two later.

Re: Discussion: Q3 Volume 37
I'm in with a revised story. Submitting at 3am (UK time) was better than the 25 hours without sleep and only one hour sleep before work I managed last quarter. Listening to music by Aural Method, Slow Meadow and Hammock saw me through this time and probably last time too.
Well done and good luck everyone. To anyone who doesn't make it, don't be hard on yourself. There's always next time.
