Hi all.
Whoop! Got me a HM. Can I still resubmit it later? I assume so, but wanted to check.
Also, if you sell the same story multiple times, are all sales counted in regards to disqualification. Not a problem for me, yet, but it would be nice to know.

You can resubmit an R, HM, or SHM, although I'd recommend an edit first. (The only stories that can't be resubmitted are semi-finalists and finalists.)
Reprints don't generally get pro rates, and I'm fairly certain the sale that disqualifies you from applying to the contest is your fourth sale (and subsequent publication) to an SFWA pro-paying market. I will admit it's been awhile since I double-checked this, but that's my current understanding.

I don't want to start a new thread so I hope you don't mind my asking my question here.
If part of a story was posted on one of the reddit writing subs, can it be used for WotF?

I don't have an easy answer for this one. It probably depends on how much was posted and how much it's been edited since.

Perhaps you could ask Joni

Re: Contest rules questions
Putting it online takes first rights away but it’s fuzzy. If you posted on destructivereaders it would probably be fine because that’s like critters and is a crit group. Posting on nosleep would disqualify you. I’d just avoid it to be safe.

Re: Contest rules questions
I got an answer from Joni.
Thanks for inquiring. It is best not to. If a judge says they have seen a story online while judging, the story becomes disqualified.
best,
Joni

Re: Contest rules questions
Aah, that's an angle I hadn't thought of. While it may technically not have reached any threshold for a pro sale or 5000 hits or whatever, imagine if a judge saw it and you got DQ'd AFTER reaching finalist. Ugh.
